I’ve been busy with work lately, but I wanted to share something. This video, and the book that inspired it, has set me on a path of new research. I believe that understanding this history from all angles is crucial in the days moving forward. We’re facing massive cultural changes and we need to know who we are and where we stand.
As a proud American descendant of Germany and Britain, this information from the National Socialist perspective rings true in my heart.
I watched the first 30 minutes and will watch the rest later. But I have a pretty good idea on what I’ll find there.
History is written by the victors, and there is so much political crap propaganda entwined in that history that it’s hard to separate the true from the half-truths and the outright fictional. Damn near everything I learned about history I learned on my own. I was taught history, and I liked it, but what I learned was almost always wrong.
There is too much politics in history and too many double standards. The only thing I try to do is keep neutral. What’s true is true, regardless of the country.
I used to be a patriot but I’m not one anymore. I equate patriotism with idiocy, dangerous idiocy.
It’s interesting they show gun camera footage of strafing people in horse driven carts etc. There’s footage on youtube where they strafe houses, just pumping lead in general, with no discernible targets, just spraying houses.
I like history and how it can be written up and used for many things. This is something that only reinforces the fact I should look at all points of view and try to understand the other side as well.
