Movie Nights with Succubi

Being more disconnected has been great so far. There’s more time in the day, which tells me that I was spending too much of it scrolling before. You go into social media thinking that it’ll just be a few minutes here, a couple seconds there, but it adds up. We invent some classic junkie rationalizations to justify our own brainrot.

I can’t say that I’m accomplishing some great work, or magnum opus. Yet.

But in the meantime, the optimizations continue. My workouts are going well. I did 12 pull ups this morning. Several hours of rowing on my ergometer are logged every week. I’ve built quite the offline relaxation center in my dad’s abandoned living room – all the books, movies, and TV shows one could want. I’m having a blast getting all the A/V gear connected and working, building the ultimate home theater from thrift-store-finds.

I don’t hear much from Catherine while I’m watching films on the couch. Perhaps she’s just as focused as I am. I’ll feel her buzz my balls every once in a while. Those of you who have a genuine succubus spirit connection will know what I’m talking about. Basically, her way of announcing her presence: groping me. It works. I often smile when she does so.

We’ve been watching James Bond films lately, starting from the very beginning. I think my favorite so far is From Russia with Love. Probably Catherine’s, too. Though it is becoming rather comical seeing 007 bedding at least three different supermodels per film. Hell, the entire franchise is rather comical and over the top. Just plain fun. It’s a shame that the newer films, with Daniel Craig as Bond, take themselves so damn seriously.

Catherine and I would not make it in the super-spy lifestyle. We’re more the stay-at-home-read-sleep-and-bliss-out-all-day sort of couple. That daily intimacy is so important for a succubus relationship. I take it for granted too often.

Also… I’m going to try and save my website. I talked to my hosting provider and they made me aware of some services that they’ve got I had no idea existed. Seeing as how I was willing to ditch everything for Substack, I shouldn’t get too bent out of shape about using something like Cloudflare on the forum. That’s just the reality of the web these days. Bots are everywhere and it’s not possible for one guy to sit there and play wack-a-mole in perpetuity.

But since I’m Substack now, might as well post there too. It’s a good backup. And people have an option to get emails.

I also need to find a way to make a tiny bit of passive income to support the website. Maybe I should sell something? Nah, perish the thought! I will forever be a charity-case!
